Awnings, are in essence quite simple to buy if you know roughly what you want. There are many different styles, options and manufacturers to choose from. They provide shade from direct sunlight, and with a valance can provide some shelter too.
An awning can be attached to the side of the house or can be an over-awning on a wooden or metal pergola, or under glass roof to provide shelter. It is worth thinking about the size and shape of the space you want to shelter.
An awning is measured by width and then by projection. We can help advise you on the projection and also the width depending on where the awning is being positioned.

To progress your alfresco experience, you have the choice of 3 types of awning; open awning, semi-cassette, and full cassette. We recommend full cassette in most instances as it provides complete protection for your awning, meaning it will last longer.
With a full cassette awning, the fabric and mechanism are completely enclosed. This increases the life of the awning and fabric as the awning is protected from the elements.
A semi-cassette awning means the fabric of the awning is covered from above but is open underneath, exposing the awning arms and mechanism when the awning is retracted.
With an open awning the fabric and mechanism are completely exposed to the elements when the awning is retracted. It is worth fitting this type of awning under eaves.
Rest assured, we have spent a good deal of time selecting only the best quality awning manufacturers to use. With that in mind, we install markilux and weinor - the very best German engineered awnings – these premium awnings and will last you for many years.
For each manufacturer we have listed the different products they offer and we supply a rough guide price for each. Please note, prices include installation, so if you are comparing quotes, make sure the installation is included too.
Superb job installing a pretty big retractable awning (4m sq) in a tricky spot. Scoped out the installation ahead of time and installed as promised. Very neat hiding wiring. Nice handover with training. Top job. Thanks.

Having obtained quotes from a couple of companies I decided to use the Cotswold as they came across as more professional (no off-putting sales patter). I'm really pleased with the end result. A very tidy job, including the electrics, and very polite installers. Now just waiting for the sunshine!

Great job. Came out to quote quickly after first enquiry, gave good advice about sizing, positioning and options - honest about the lead time for delivery. On the day, workmen were professional, polite and did a very tidy job. I'm delighted with the work. The awning looks like it is a fully integral part of the house.

Delivered and installed within the original estimated time frame. The installation team completed their work to an exceptionally high standard with care and great attention to detail. The only sign they left after completing their work was a great structure to help us make the most of our time in the garden. Definitely Five Stars in all respects. Well done everyone.

Very pleased with the professionalism of the team and quality of the work. The sales team answered all my questions clearly and helped me to find the awning that fulfilled my requirements. The fitters on the day were very professional and took the time to make sure I was happy with the operation of the awning.

Having had new bifold doors fitted onto a south facing garden I realised I would need an awning to protect the interior of my dining room as well as for shade when sitting outside in the sun. I came across Cotswold Awnings when I googled and after quotes from two other companies I opted for this one as I liked the more modern fabric designs and the finish of the cassette and pergola structure.
